Public employees stopped the work in all provinces
Upon the call of KESK, BASK, HÜR-SEN, ASİM-SEN and United Public Employees Unions, public employees stopped the work in all provinces of the country.
The ruling power in the country decided to increase the salaries of public employees by 11.54%. Even according to official data, which is far below the truth, the annual CPI in
the country is 65%. Employees rebelled against the imposition of such a misery increase under these conditions.
The work stoppage decision of the unions was implemented by employees in schools, universities, government offices and public institutions in all cities of the country.
Demonstrations and rallies were held in many cities. Employees marched with slogans and banners that read, "We will not allow misery wages to be imposed - We want to live humanely - No to wage
slavery - We will win by uniting - General strike! General resistance!". Speeches and press releases were made on behalf of the unions.
